Taven Strickert

Background: A proudly queer and Jewish poet, writer, and former journalist, Taven has worked for several electoral campaigns, unions such as Unite Here Local 11, and several non-profits, including Amnesty International where he raised money to cover immigration attorney costs while challenging the legality of ICE detention centers. He has also worked with the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) as a committee member and organizer. He continues to pursue a life of engagement.
